It’s time to plan for our annual Trunk or Treat event.  It’s a family-friendly alternative to Halloween and we hope your family will join us!  This year, Trunk or Treat will be a targeted outreach event for the Christ Church family.  We will not be advertising on Facebook or other social media platforms and ask that you invite only family and those you are trying to reach for church.  It will not be open to the general public.  This will also help with managing the COVID situation.
Trunk or Treat will be Friday, October 29th, from 6-8 pm.  In order to make this a success, we need a tremendous amount of help from you.  Here’s what we will need:

  • Trunks! We decorate our trunks and pass out candy to the kids.
  • Chili! We will serve chili and hot dogs that night.
  • Parking! We will direct cars to park in the softball field.  We will not have general public traffic, but we will need some help directing cars to the back field.
  • Inflatables! We will have several inflatables set up in the bottom parking lot.
  • Set up and tear down!  The gym will be the hub for chili and hot dogs.  We will need help setting up tables and tearing down after the event.

Attached is a shared Google document for signing up to help.  In order to plan for that night, we need to know who can help as soon as possible.  Please sign up as soon as you can!
We encourage our youth group to dress up and help set up and tear down that night, too!  And following Trunk or Treat, there will be a youth group lock-in!!!  All the more reason to join us!

If you have any questions, email Amy Scalf at [email protected] or call/text at 859-513-1001. If you have any trouble accessing the Google document, email Amy and she will add you to the volunteer list!
